With the Christmas party season about to come into full swing, it’s a great time to get those party frocks out, glam up and get out there and have some fun!

Flirting is all about being relaxed, having fun and getting to know someone. One of the biggest mistakes you can make is to put an attachment on whether this guy you like the look of will fancy you too.

My tips on flirting at a party where you don't know anyone

1. Talk to anyone! One of the best things you can do to meet your ideal partner is to be more open, talkative, and flirtatious and simply chat to anyone whether you fancy them or not, after all they may have some cute male friends.

2. Glam it up with a touch of red: Experts say that red is a colour that gets people's blood pumping so why not play full out and throw on that red dress or spice up the little black one with some unusual jewellery that’ll get you noticed. You’ll feel great and will be easy for a man to comment on. Remember, men are afraid of rejection too so wear something that makes it easy for a man to come up and talk to you.

3. Smile, smile and smile some more!

People love being around happy, positive people. Our moods and feelings are contagious so it’s vital you get yourself into the right frame of mind for flirting when you’re going to a party where you don’t know many people. When we smile at someone they’ll usually smile back and it sends a clear signal that we like them – and we all love to be liked.

Have fun and make it clear that you feel good about yourself and then trust me… you will be approached.

This is probably one of the biggest mistakes you may be making that’s keeping you single…waiting for the man to make the first move.
